Hey, great mod, but the retaliation scales kindof weirdly. Shooting up Charon pirates bases and Centauri camps gets a drake and some vikings, or a couple heavy gunships chasing after you, which is great. Then I destroyed a single Sung Slaver camp in St. K's and had about 20 Earth Slavers and a Sung Dragon chasing me around the commonwealth capital and not enough firepower in the system to destroy them. Is retaliation supposed to be that...excessive?
Still, it's a great mod and I wouldn't consider playing without it. I'll try to edit the XMLs to change sung retaliation to a dozen wind slavers or so.
Yeah, the issue is that each satellite defender is counted as a station. You have to change the retaliate event to exclude those stations.
As a bonus, V5 excludes the CW and Sung turrets from being counted as a destroyed station
-separated Gravity and utility items into their separate mods (so that it's easier to keep track of which ones are latest/up to date)
1. "The Commonwealth attacks!" with no enemies to attack, so just dumps ships into system, then they gate out after a bit.-hopefully fixed
-fix respawning to include the respawn station!
-generic attack fleets
-excluded stCommonwealthTurret and the Sung turret!
--RPCattack fleet issue:
they're attacking dead stations :/ -- Not anymore!
2. Flight paths straight through the sun=ouch. must be a way to designate no-fly zones? [FIXED]
3. Problems with Korolov if the Charon Stronghold gets boomed by a faction. May be deliberate? [IS FEATURE]
it's not a stronghold if they can't take on ronin/c's :P
4. Enemy Wolfen spawns in early systems=overpowered. [IS FEATURE]
If it's too much of a game ender, I will change it. Maybe freighter players have an issue with it?
5. Stations spawning in destruction zone of sun? [FIXED]
-stations within 60 ls get moved to 70 ls away from sun
-escorts for respawn ships
;tldr
Basically, lots of fine tuning and a new event: Attack fleets!
Also, please reapply the Prior Mods of the Month tag. Thanks.
I've tried v5 recently and seen something odd. "Commonwealth attacks commonwealth" huh? I was in Eridani at the time and didn't see what they were attacking, but that sounds odd. Just letting you know, hasn't affected my game yet. Still dying horribly and frequently, same as always
Korolov in origin. I have freighters carrying some Korolov stuff, (I'm trying to encourage people to try the Commonwealth court system >.> ) so whenever they die some ships come to pick up the loot of the destroyed freighter.
In any case, can you give me the debug log part where it says "the Commonwealth attack the Commonwealth?" I need the first 10 lines above and below that line.
Ok, found what caused it. I didn't feed the right names in the retaliation event. I will fix in 5.b. (but it doesn't change gameplay, just ignore the message if it's wrong).
