Something I noticed with PM's fix to Bobby's repair droids: it makes all repair droids go back to work, and doesn't keep count of how many droids were working before and after battle.
For example: you have 1 droid in cargo, 2 installed. Battle ensues and all droids take cover. After the battle, all 3 droids go back to work, but earlier only 2 were working.

I thought it was a new ship but it was a wind + steel slaver XD

Taking turn 8, will post t9 in 24 hours.

Update: Going to need another 24 hours - spent too much time in the Adventure Outfitters buying weapons and linking them, corrupting the save (Aaaauuugh!).

Update 2: Going to need another 24 hours - save corrupted even with saving every 5 minutes... will write a script to auto-backup the save every 5 minutes.

Out of sheer desperation for a file host, I uploaded the save file onto Xelerus...

It was a long-haul, had to restart at least 12 times because of save file corruption. Thankfully, the automatic save backup script really helped alleviate that.

Highlights:
-Got us to the next system!
-Got full octocarbide for the Eagle.
-Upgraded weapons for the Eagle, now with the dreadnaught-melting firepower of 4x Ranx Beam Rifles (Ion:6.5 @ 10 shots/second each, ~90 ls range, ~45 degree swivel) and some omni-plasma cannons.
-There's a CSC in the system, along with many Adventure Outfitters, Trading Posts and Taikon Ventures.
-Installed another Turbo-ICX
-The Ranx Fortress in the previous system is still there, with 4-5 dreadnaughts defending. Apparently destroying the fortress corrupts the save, but it's possible to farm the dreads for more Ranx Beam Rifles.

Actually, I really like the idea of succession saves on xelerus.
It might give more visibility to the succession itself.

I thought removing parallax should alleviate save corruption somewhat, but somehow it's back....
Has resurfaced!

Fourfire: You might have to get 7zip, I was able to look at TVR's save and I can see the souped up Eagle.

Ok, so saying that the Outer Realm is dangerous is a complete understatement of the situation here.

A few minutes passed after I loaded the save, and I took stock of the FourFire's Eagle and The Museum. The Eagle was decked to the brim with ion weapons and The Museum was still stuck with particle damage relics from 5 systems ago and armor that wouldn't stand a chance against the Ares. The Eagle was parked next to CSC America and The Museum was parked next to the stargate. I decided to regroup and did what any respectable pilgrim would do-- farm the Ranx for some armor. Then the sirens came.

First off, the Xenophobes hate everybody. As in *everybody*.

To give some background, this event was requested by Djohaal on IRC a while back. The concept was to have some Xenophobes come into a system, blow everything up, and gate out, leaving a space storm that messes up a part of the system.

Some Xenophobes already jumped out of the system, but left something worse o.o

They stormed the system like there was no tomorrow, and knowing the state of both ships I decided to high tail it out of there and continue the Ranx farming. I'll be back to blow their worldships and hopefully come out with some ion lancers in the process.

*edit: I'm going to check out the "ranx station explodes" crash.

Turn 10
I wasn't able to do as much as I'd hoped, but right now I'm halfway with getting full transuranic for the Museum. Both the current system and the previous systems are wrecks though, but I think if we use the eagle all the way through we could kill the ICS in our current state.
