Turn #2 at Xelerus. About the savegame:
* First two systems cleared or mostly so. There is a crate of illegals (including a smuggler's hold) in the first system, on Starton.
* Third system mostly explored. One mission for Korolov done (to unlock dock services and buy a ship). The rest for the next player.
* Purchased an Antares-II to hold all of the junk we will collect. It has an engine upgrade and level 1 shields.
* The Antares-II holds some mid-high level armor. It also has three shipwrights (one from Arco, two from occupied stations).
* Manticore is armed with two Omni weapons, an RK15 and a custom yellow laser from WE. It also has 25 MW reactor, engine upgrade, level 1 shields, and one segment of heavy Solaris armor.
* Black Market ID acquired from the hotel.

Honorable mention: Wrecked an EI7000 pilgrim ship. Wanted to rebuild it only to discover that I could not! At least the loot was generous.

Bug alerts:
* Custom ship files, such as Osaka, have not been updated. They do not show a ship icon (only ?) at the shipyard menu. Files may be updated without breaking the savegame.
* Manticore may continue to fire its linked fire slot weapon after changing ships. I will check it out and try to get an update ready if I can fix it.

Not much happened on my turn, I just did some mining (only the inner belt and I made a note in Captain's Log) and upgraded the armors on the Antares II. I also moved the autolooter to the Antares II and added a Mammoth 25 to it.

Good luck to the person taking Turn #4, Rigel is next ;)

Here is the Save
I've finished the qualifying rounds in the arena, pimped up our ships a bit, bought a gunship, collected lots of loot, change our freighter for a Antares V and armored it fully
this is going to be a WIN game by the way, one issue however is that we need Cash, so whoever does the arena needs to milk it hard...
(oh yeah and we can make autons through the gunship, so put level IV shields and regen armor, as well as any level >III weapons on the gunship and use those to make kickass autons (it's a shame we don't have autonoverwrite which makes autons AI like wingmen, but whatever...)

How can you not open the zip file?
is there some other format which you can open?
I can open the file on Windows and in Linux just fine...

Arena almost complete: Next fight will be against the Slicer. Also, we are 1 system from Charon.


I've taken a few screenshots of several (interesting) occurrences:

Typo here, nothing major, but can be fixed easily.

The target display at the lower left corner seems to have a background colour issue, it's the case only for asteroid-stations of this type, though..

This transport somehow got stuck on the outer side of the walls.... And managed to fire through it and hit something inside (ie me.)

This Wolfen wasn't an Arena opponent, it managed to fly straight through the opening of the walls and go stright inside. It seemed particularly intent on attacking the Manticore for some reason even though I was flying the Stalwart.

o.o That Wolfen is so pro, I can't believe that an NPC managed to get into the Arena o.o

Is that one of the cargo stealing NPCs? I might turn those off in Rigel if they keep interrupting Arena matches>.<

Nah don't turn them off, we're nearly done with the Arena and they are fun.

I'd prefer that we don't blow up the BM station if that is possible, and just not taking the slicer fight, we already have shield roms so that shouldn't be an issue (I like to score the "never destroyed friendly stations" conduct, like we are going to try for permadeath conduct)

PM if you could specify that xml change you are doing please do so I can remotely patch my copy of the modpack (unless it's something you do with the save file directly?)

Turn #6 at Xelerus
* This was a backtrack session, to scavenge loot left behind. Took much longer than expected.
* Patches applied. Manticore should be fixed.
* I used Autohummer's ship since it had solar armor, and the Antares V did not, and there were no more available.
* I used a shipwright to rebuild an Antares II. (I wanted an EI7000, but did not find a suitable wreck, and getting one from shipyard would cost us dearly.)
* I used the regenerating armor, miners hold, an engine, and a level 2 shield from the Antares V for my new ship. It is armed with a neutron blaster, particle beam weapon, and a NAMI launcher found as loot. It is a glass cannon.
* Fun bug! Ronins attacked a Scarab they were assigned to protect. They could not break down shields, so I did. Then I waited until Ronins finished the job. I looted an intact SN2500 reactor from the Scarab, among other things.
* Also looted more Nova-100 reactors, two of which went to Autohummer's ship and my Antares PM.
* Strip mined the previous systems, except for Eridani's outer belt. Got more than 2000 tons of ore, plus various items from wrecks and angry pirates.
* Made Solon shields and a laser array at Tinkers.
* I sold as much fuel as I could to Ice Farms.
* Everything I got this session that was not installed on my ship or Autohummer's is in the Antares V. It is loaded.
* Antares PM parked inside Arena near the rest of our fleet.
* We have 30000+ credits. There could have been more due to the extra loot we have, but I am not dealing with that now.
* Made notes in Captain's Log - read them before taking the next turn.
