Turn #12 at Xelerus.
* Built an auton named Buggy. It has SmartCannons and ammo. DO NOT LOOT! Your dockscreens will reset once per second constantly.
* Backtrack to system before Charon. Armor shop was rebuilt, and a Corporate cruiser was getting shot at by a Ronin. I attacked the cruiser, then let the Ronin land the killing blow. Explosion took out a Britannia too. Excellent loot - cruiser had Rasiermesser launcher and Gothas (held by my ship). Britannia had a powerful ion weapon (wanted to install, but 150 MW was too much - went to Manticore).
* Short time later, four Urak destroyer squads destroyed the armor station again! I looted the remains. I think the station was rebuilt before I uploaded save.
* Also in the same system, Urak destroyed an ice farm. I looted the fuel sold to it. Ice farm was rebuilt. I bought the new stock and resold more fuel.
* Sold more junk to Tinkers, and reactors to Commonwealth stations.
* Finally installed 250 MW reactor (enhanced to 300 MW), Titan drive (enhanced), and an ion weapon for the Manticore.
* In Charon, while waiting for Ingenuity to recharge, a Charon frigate gated in. I killed it, then the Kronosaurus spawned soon after, which I also killed. I did not pick up Volkov. Someone else can do the honors.
* My ship has radiation immunity and new weapons.
* We have over 200,000 credits, and more loot.

as discussed with PM yesterday, it looks like this problem is caused by WE5 unlauncher code, which affects all the ammo using primary weapons.
I think I might have a solution. I'll keep you guys posted.

I am taking the save now, and I promise I won't resurrect any frigates, my goals are loftier now...

Edit: I didn't manage much tonight, so if anyone wants they can take the turn, but if noone does I'll continue and post tomorrow

Turn #14 at Xelerus.
* Cleared the next system, mostly.
* Befriended Huari and obtained the vial.
* Looted enough 250 MW reactors from wrecked Hurin ships, and enhanced them with Ingenuity. All of our ships have 300 MW reactors.
* Obtained jumpdrive and shipwright from Thor's.
* Earth Slavers destroyed Thor's. Looted some nice stuff including an overpowered DESCENT plasma weapon.
* Thor's got rebuilt, and spawned solar dynamo and another jumpdrive. Purchased both. It also has a new stock of nice weapons. Did not buy any.
* Speaking of plasma weapon, I looted another elsewhere.
* Speaking of overpowered, we have an intact Nanite shield device, looted from an Earth Slaver.
* We have about 200,000 credits. Mostly spent on jumpdrives. Lots of new loot. Check the Antares V for possible upgrades.
* Manticore has a jumpdrive and solar dynamo. It also has a plasma weapon in cargo. (Don't forget, dynamo is external - take care of it if you use it.)
* Latest patch should fix Iocrym command ship with improper weapon caused by Items912.

Turn #15 at Xelerus.
* Side trip to Heretic and the system before it, searching for fabricator.
* Cleared pteravores in Heretic.
* Fabricator near star (in system before Heretic) and Ringer shipyard.
* Lots of wrecks between Ares and Ranx. Ringers eat Phobos. Much loot.
* Fabricated 350 MW Buzzards and 500 MW reactors.
* Over 300,000 credits and plenty of high level loot. Choose wisely.
* Manticore has a patch spider and high level weapons. I stash pteracnium fuel for it.
* Antares V is getting low on space (and I did not have time to find another ship).
* If you think the power is excessive, ignore this save. (It is what I do when I play Transcendence, since jumpdrive plus fabricator is a winning combination.)

You skipped the Ares; they're the most fun part of the game D:

Ok I have the save... I hope none of the heretic stations are blown yet, because I want to save all of them (btw did anyone do antarctica missions?)

Ok so I basically emptied our supply of Particle and blast weapons and sub level VI armour in order to make this:

Now I'm going to *clear out* some systems as it were...
Hopefully the NAMI launcher ones get to shoot most of their missiles before they get shot down.
The survivors will get promoted for the next round, the Ion and Thermo weaponsbearers...

The only thing I did in Heretic was wipe out pteravores and use Nebular Sight to pinpoint Iocrym stations. I did not have time for anything else in Heretic. I would have blown up sentinels for their armor if I had more time. The sentinel waves begin only when you finish a Heretic mission (whether it is assigned or not), which can include destroying an Iocrym station. We are not ready for endgame yet.

I did not have time to fabricate better equipment for everyone, nor did I have time to upgrade all of the ships. I did not install the last 500MW reactor for another ship because they cannot use helium, we do not have lots of pteracnium, and waiting all day for the dynamo to recharge the reactor is not fun. The Manticore burns through fuel quickly, and it needs pteracnium or other high-level fuel. (My ship is all solar armor, and needs it for now so I do not burn through fuel, but I do want to get better armor soon, once I solve the free refueling problem.)

All that armor... for your autons? That seems a bit wasteful. I suppose there is some low level armor left in shops to buy (for rebuilding/trading ships cheaply and feeding the fabricator). If not, I suppose I will farm more from Ares/Ranx at the last system before Heretic, or strip mine systems past St. K's for ore. With that many autons clumped together, many will probably destroy each other with friendly fire.

You could have helped yourself to some of the high level equipment in the Antares V. Please do not waste it on autons before we have a chance to upgrade our ships first.

Forgot to mention that the unid'ed level VII alien shield is a level 9 shield that originally came from a Phobos. I almost sold it to Teratons for rin, but did not have time to ponder. Use it or leave it.

RPC: What can I say? The power offered by the jumpdrive and fabricator combo is too tempting not to ignore, and this game had near ideal spawn locations for exploitation. Fabricator close to Heretic stargate, and a Ringer shipyard near the fabricator to eliminate anything my ship cannot handle. I lured several Phobos ships to the Ringers, one at a time. Phobos is no match to a Ringer shipyard. The loot I got from their wrecks was better than any level 8 item I would get from the fabricator. Still, fabricating near free 500 MW reactors from damaged 250 MW reactors are very good, as is converting broken devices to a patch spider, jumpdrive, or similar item.
