Currently working on the starting system. Already got 3 ships and 2 stations taken care of in terms of renders (it helps that i figured out how to get george models with all their textures intact, usually (sometimes bits are still corrupted))
The starting system will be Procyon, and it will need at least a couple new factions, one friendly and one enemy, and will serve to provide an introduction to the Borderlands and Frontier.
At this point i think im fast approaching 200 ship classes (Though not all are implemented in xml yet)

Atarlost and I have discovered an… odd side effect of using the IFF on a ship with tracking weapons:
As entertaining as it is watching a Charon frigate trying to “punch itself in the face” (to quote Atarlost), I can only expect that this isn’t exactly behavior as intended.

Ive noticed this a long time ago, and figured it was funny enough to just leave in anyways. I believe its a problem with external code from my own directing it to target the closest enemy ship, assuming it would not be an enemy of itself.

Procyon armored colony and a Sord raider gunship (thats the gunship made out of a crate, struts, and engines)

The 'starting mook' Sord intercepter - its less of a pushover than the centauri raider, mostly because its more of a glass cannon (not a particularly impressive cannon, but moreso than what the centauri raider has)

These ships (also Sord) were the spawn of a long-standing IRC joke (hence the weird engine configuration). It keeps happening.

It's missing the wieird bits on the tips, but apart from that it's actually a fairly good intepretation, my jokes in IRC about the struts being too straight. Also it's possibly going backwards, but given we never did work out what way around Swordship is supposed to be, you can probably be excused for that.

With nearly half of 2015 gone, is it still likely that we'll get to see an open beta of TSB in 2015?
There's a lot of cool new stuff that weren't in the old download. Such as the Domain's Nodeship and the (new?) Ansabi capital ship. And I think the Coalition's carrier? (In Transcendence Picture thread pg 32)
By the way, are the white-blue orb-throwing ships the Solarites talked about in TSB?
