Currently rounding out a lot of the factions with full compliments of ships.
I've created a colossal amount of stuff for this extension in the past month, which is very promising for next month. If I can stop moving the goalposts and decide on what constitues a "finished" extension, then I'll be able to decide on a tentative release date.

I'd probably make more progress if I wasn't painting space backgrounds and posing ship models, but I can't complain about the result.
Introducing the Gale Warwing, a Cloudskipper vessel, which happens to replace a particularly ugly placeholder.

Been a while since I posted any updates.

Here's one of the new playerships - a bomber, built as an anti-station platform. The HUD elements on this ship haven't been implemented yet. Also pictured is one of the new space backgrounds. There's a couple space backgrounds I introduced which really add to the adventure's atmosphere.
I've slowed down on development, as I'm back to work now, but I'm still aiming for a release this year or in early January.

Is it the blackish craft? I especially like the circular meter representation of shield strength! And I think that the bomber should start with a kinetic weapon (recoilless cannon) or a weak blast weapon like the Moswka(?) that fires scattered shots! And why not with a MAG launcher? Oh wait! You are already using a grenade launcher . Anyway nice ship and good to see you back on! Enlighten us more with another screenshot.

This render would've been great... Except that I forgot to rotate the light with the camera.
I'm just going to post this here before I redo it so I don't feel like I wasted an hour rendering it.

Finally got around to some station graphics.
Here's a Citadel shipyard with a currently unnamed enemy ship in the shot.

Is it intended that all the docking arms have their prongs pointing up except the southwest, which point down? Because it that looks kind of odd. I'd suggest they should either all point up, alternate, or be randomized.

That was intended, though it was really just a quick way to differentiate those arms in the model so I wouldn't forget about it. Currently, the model now has more variation in the arms so its less obvious that I cloned them eight times.Atarlost wrote:Is it intended that all the docking arms have their prongs pointing up except the southwest, which point down? I like the shipyard too. The northern set of arms has an antenna pointing in the opposite direction as the others, in case that's unintentional.
