Usually running mods but the last two were in unmodded 1.7a1 games.
Anyone else seen this and is it meant to happen? Nothing in Eridani.xml in 1.7a1 mentions Tinkers.
I don't mind this happening because it can give you some good cheap armor.

The only way Tinkers do not spawn is if all systems prevent random spawning; I remember updating the Star Castle mod to prevent Tinkers from appearing in the Arcade adventure.JohnBWatson wrote:I believe George put in code that guarantees at least one tinker station per game.
