The thing I posted here is also really messy. The shots are being manually moved so reflect makes them drop, but they're slow enough they can still get into loops inside a Dwarg.
At the time reflective shields didn't take damage and there were TSB enemies with ion reflect. Those flat out crashed the game if shot at.

Yup, it crashed all right. And it got down to 1 frame every 20 seconds just beforehand, a new record since my last crash when I set loose a shockwave weapon with a duration of 10000 to kill everything in the system...Atarlost wrote:If the shot speed is low enough that the projectile can turn within the ship's hitbox at the deflection reflect produces and it has at least 50% passthrough it will keep duplicating until it kills the target or the game crashes.

Destroyed all of their weapons. Was going to get more, but the shipyard building them died.

I've done the same to Phobii - one or two bursts from the thing typically kills the APA. Of course, it's not really quite as fun to fight them once they're down to two turrets that they fire in fairly predictable bursts.Shrike wrote:Eh, the Deimos has unusually fragile weapon placements..you can knock those guns out with pretty much any weapon. This was the Pre- Dead Stop ship I did years ago, but it was so strong I changed it to a freighter and Nerfed the weapons down to commonwealth
If it flies for you, maybe it will put the Challenge back in your game : when I play straight stock with my .xml - the stuff I put in the .xml always kill me
but it's ok to kill the player...right?
