That's how I describe those blasted Sung Steel Slavers! They never miss even if they're a great distance away. And to make it worse, they use their CyberDeck Disarm that knocks your weapons out while they make precice surgical incisions on your armor, with a weapon that can shoot the distance.
Although the code has it set for fireAccuracy= "90", they still do not miss! Is there a bug here?

Your dodge-fu is weak, young grasshopper.
That said, an accuracy of 90 should mean that nine out of every ten shots hit, yes? That would look just about the same as all of the shots hitting. And I've seen them miss often enough...
Perhaps further testing is in order? George added that lovely debug code that can create ships on command...

Steel slavers have omni weapons which never miss. No omni weapon ever misses. The only time a ship even without omni weapons will miss is when it fires while it still has momentum side-to-side from the turn (causing the shot to drift to the side).
Of course when I say "miss" I mean if the target is perfectly still - otherwise it didn't miss, it went right where it was aimed, the target just wasn't there anymore.
Stay perfectly still and all the shots hit you.
Maintain the same course and speed and all the shots hit you.
Change course after they have already fired and every shot will miss.

You need skilled piloting. But.. if Fireaccuracy=100, then does that mean that even if you try to dodge, its gonna hit?
>.<
That explains it. And dodge I try but it's not that easy in a freighter without any decent thruster yet.OddBob wrote:Steel slavers have omni weapons which never miss. No omni weapon ever misses.
Just thought it was odd that they can hammer you so easily from a far.

It can take forever to bring down their shield too. I've been in situations where it wasn't possible and had packs of them trailing me like dingos.
Luckily they aren't very fast,... or smart; so I could lure them into a friendly base for some backup.
