changing items over time

This isn't the standard stations getting items over time idea.

I think it would be cool to have decaying items for shipping. Weapon attacks that vary over time ie goes up and down over the time frame of several minutes.
A shield that changes its reflect every minute.

Crates of Unrefrigerated Fruit should change into Starchy Liquids after 30mins of gameplay :P

The only Reflect shield available at the moment is an Ion-reflector. I don't know that an ion-reflect crystal has any effect on it, but the particle reflect crystal can be added to it to make an Ion/Particle-reflecting shield. If you can get that, you are mostly invulnerable in the late game against almost everything.

I like the idea of time critical items. Unrefrigerated crates, crates that only stay refrigerated for a certain amount of time, items that you can't exceed a certain speed while carrying...all sorts of things you could do.
