I haven't been trapped in the walls myself for a long time, but on my way to the arena this time I was being persued by some kind of anarchist enemy shuttle (which I was ignoring). The poor geek crashed into the wall and got stuck there, still firing at me, but unable to free itself from the wall.
On my way out, I put him out of his misery and looted the ship for all equipment and cigarettes, and left without getting trapped myself.
As a side note... this effectively made him a gun turret in the wall. If he wasn't so weak, that could have made him an interesting addition to advanced arena combat. Turrets would be cool, especially if knocked ships around with Iocrym repeller style effects, EMPs, or stiletto missiles. The turrets should only fire on crafts that get too close to the walls.
Arena walls: still buggy

I noticed this too in my last game. If I recall correctly, I'd snuffed an anarchist base, and dropped the shields on the shuttles. I moved on to the arena...and they showed up and plowed into the wall. I ended up destroying them *through* the wall, in fact.
X-ray laser! Pew, pew pew!
