each ship will have own amount of special energy (by default or by device) - and this energy will be used for power manuevers - faster than normal manuevers by 2x-4x (selectable) - and PM will use this energy. Energy will repenish slowly by time.

I dislike this. It sounds kinda cheesy.

it sounds like afterburners :)

and it was already posted in the "temp speed up" in the consumables brainstorming topic:

I would prefer the power to chew away a lot of fuel instead of using a new energy bar.

I would like it as a propulsion upgrade, something that could be part of a drive or as a plug in enhancement for a drive. Needs own key (key binding please?) to make it handy.

Acually, it sounds like something easily implemented in today's electronics: A single large (or collection of small) capacitor that charges up while (whatever the object/ship/toy) is running normaly. Then it could discharge a lot of power in a short burst. Just like capacitor weapons! (Why do I think of these things after I type?)

I would be interesting. I don't think I would like it. It would be a lot of fun in RC airplanes...
If you drop a bar of soap on the ground, is it dirty?
If a person is legally blind, and can suddenly see, is he breaking the law?
If a friend says he's going outside to get some air, what was he breathing before?
